“Happy’s Place” renewed for second season
The multi-cam comedy “Happy’s Place” has been renewed for Season 2 at NBC.
The series, which marked Reba’s return to the sitcom format, originally debuted on NBC on Oct. 18. It was picked up for a full season at the broadcast network in November.
Per NBC, the pilot episode has reached 17.6 million viewers across all platforms, while the show itself has improved the Friday 8 p.m. timeslot at NBC by 54% in total viewers compared to last season.
Along with Reba, the cast includes Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk, and Rex Linn.
Kevin and Julie Abbott created “Happy’s Place.” Kevin serves as an executive producer alongside Reba, Michael Hanel, Mindy Schultheis, Matt Berry, and Pamela Fryman. Universal Television is the studio.
